Install eSIM on Android phone
  • In this guide, we assume your main SIM is installed in Slot 1 and your new eSIM is installed in Slot 2.
  • If you have a Google Pixel, an extra step is required to enable 2 SIMs. Click here.
  • If you have a Samsung phone or tablet, click here for our dedicated Samsung guide.

Part 1: Install esim on android phone

  1. Settings > Network and Internet > SIMs > Add SIM > tap “Set up an eSIM” then scan QR code
  2. Tap to add eSIM and follow on screen instructions.

Unable to scan your QR code? Follow these steps:

  1. Get your eSIM activation code from your account. To do this, select “My data bundles & eSIMs” from the Menu and tap “View eSIM” on the data bundle for the eSIM you would like to install. Then click “Copy code” located under “Android & Samsung”.
  2. Go to Settings > Network and Internet > SIMs > Add SIM > Set up an eSIM > tap “Need help?”
  3. Tap “Enter it manually”
  4. Paste in code then tap Continue.

Part 2: Activate your data bundle

When you are ready to use your eSIM, do the following:

  1. Settings > Network and Internet > SIMs > Select eSIM in Slot 2 > tap “Use eSIM” and confirm Yes
  2. Settings > Network and Internet > SIMs > Select eSIM in Slot 2 > Data preference > Select new eSIM

You are now using your new VivaeSIM data bundle. Awesome job.

Top Tips

  • Notice the two signal strengths at the top of your screen!
  • The signal strength shown on the right is the one being used for “Mobile Data”.
  • To save battery, turn off your VivaeSIM if you’re not using it.
  • We suggest you name your eSIM “easy” so you can easily recognise it. To do this, click the edit pencil in top right corner of screen.
