You can now install your eSIM by clicking the link you received in your email. This makes life so easy! (Minimum iOS 17.4 required)

eSIM name

  • During install esim on iPhone, Apple assign a random name to your eSIM.
  • In this guide we assume Apple labelled your new eSIM ‘Travel‘. It could be called ‘Business‘, ‘Mobile Data‘, ‘Personal‘ or ‘Secondary‘. We show you how to rename the eSIM after installation.

Top Tip

  • Your Primary SIM will have your mobile number underneath.

Part 1: Install your eSIM

  1. Use phone camera to scan QR code. DO NOT use a QR code scanning app.
  2. Tap to add eSIM and follow on screen instructions.
  3. Set Default Line to Primary.
  4. Select all SIMs for iMessage & FaceTime
  5. You now have 2 options for Mobile Data:
  • To use your eSIM later, select Primary
  • To use your eSIM now, select Travel

Top Tip

  • When installation is complete, you will notice 2 signal strengths at the top of your screen!
  • Occasionally, Apple devices get stuck during installation, but do not worry, in most circumstances the eSIM has been installed.

Part 2: Activate your data bundle

When you are ready to use your eSIM, do the following:

  1. Settings > Mobile Service > select Travel > tap “Turn On This Line”
  2. Settings > Mobile Service > select Travel > enable “Data Roaming”
  3. Settings > Mobile Service > Mobile Data > select Travel

You are now using your new VivaeSIM data bundle. Awesome job.

More Top Tips

  • The signal strength shown on top is the one being used for “Mobile Data”.
  • To save battery, turn off your new eSIM if you’re not using it.
  • We suggest you name your eSIM “VivaeSIM” so you can easily recognise it. To do this: Goto Settings > Mobile Service > “Secondary” > “Mobile Plan Label” > enter “VivaeSIM” in CUSTOM LABEL
